Spotted the dust cap off one of my MKS Sylvans coming off and falling into the Clyde while I was cycling at speed. £1.99 from SJS , but annoying none the less.

A tall blonde*, with long-ish hair, glasses and a Moser, turning into Byres Road from Great Western Road, last night about seven.

    * Twas a guy, so don't go looking for her - I mean, him. :-)

I saw a guy on a white bike, chopped straight bars at Finnieston on Monday (yesterday) around 1620. Of course, I don't know what any of you look like so I've probably just pointed out the editor or whoever runs this show -doh!

Did the guy have green tyres and a slack chain? He passed me this morning when I was taking it easy through traffic.

Am I the editor? I quite like the idea of that. I try not to edit much. Just the casing of the thread titles and maybe make them a bit more descriptive if they're ambiguous.

I ride a matte black Fuji Track with drop bars so I doubt it was me. Also I'm down south until next week so it really couldn't have been me. We'll sort out a meeting once I, Editor in Chief, am up. ;)

I couldn't see too well, but if he had green tyres I'd have chased after him to offer cash for them. I'm currently working on a new project and green may feature. Never new such things existed. I'm green with envy etc

Spotted a nice gentleman on decalless Surly on Argyle Street outside the Marriot. He kindly gave me a draft along the Quay and down Govan Road. Much appreciated, that headwind is always a killer.

I pass through the mighty borough of Finnieston everyday and see the same guy on the white frame and cut bars most days... Can confirm the tyres 'aint green and I doubt the chain is slack. The boy uses cleats...

    brooks saddle

  4.

Christ at 1st i thought that was gonna go on your fuji! Should sell for a packet, you can tell its pretty new coz of the badge, they took out the "england" to make the "brooks" more prominent just a couple years ago i think.

While im here, spotted a guy getting onto a green bike on one of the bridges over the m77 as i drove to work today, dint get a good look at the bike so cant be sure it was fixed or even ss but the rider got on in true fixie style, leg over the handlebars. bike was kind of green, maybe sort of bianchi green? I was tanking it along at the time.

Aye it was a shock with a wtf how does this guy know my name.

Earlier I had spotted a girl with short blonde hair lycraed up and ready to cross the squinty bridge. Bike was white and fixed but I didn't catch the make.

I seem to be seeing at least one new fixed or singlespeed rider a day but rarely the same person twice.

That's good to hear. Now that I'm back in Glasgow I'll be pushing to get some real-world fixed-gear socialising sorted out.

  5.

    good work-

pencil me in for something in november!

  6.

Spotted - a sweet pair of bikes outside the Xscape today, a black n white Condor and a yellow Dave Yates. Think the Condor was fixed and the Dave Yates free, both had a smattering of well nice components. Couldn't stand and stare too long as i was late back from my break, if the owners are on here and were in the centre, i was the tall speccy spiky haired guy working in Costa.

  7.

And today, an burnt orangey colour bike being ridden by a gent in a kilt! outside Central Station. Looked nice but dint getta good look as was quite astounded by the riders dress sense.

He plays the pipes for a living apparently.

    Seen a lot recently.
Saw a guy in the Ivy on a Bowery along the canal near Torance during the week.
Saw a tall chap on a Green/Yellow Eddy Merckx next to SECC at about 1:30 pm today.
Saw a brown Mercian with barberpole seattube crossing the squinty bridge about 5:00pm assume it was Euan. Was stuck in football traffic, never saw the drive train just caught a glimpse of bike.

Yeah that was me just before I almost ran straight into the front of a bus. Apparently Brand Street becomes one way on Ibrox match days and the council neglected to tell me/put up signs.

Ha, spotted! I was the fool walking the Dawes up Shields Road. Like a tit.

My new wheels were too narrow for normal rim tape and so took the advice of LBS to use electrical gaffer tape. What-a-mistake-a-to-make-a. The eyelets had a field day, shredding tube after tube. Chain also broke fannying about up in the botanics having had to pinch a few dodgy links off my old chain whip earlier. A whore of a day all round.

Perpetual punctures now happily a thing of the past.

Glad the spokecard brought a smile to someone's boat race though. And thanks again to Merak for their provision. Top gadgy!

Spotted a young lady no less on Victoria Road on Saturday at the Somerfield. Didn't clock the details (isn't being a lassie detail enough). Think she was fixed. Actually, it isn't as I spotted lass another bombing down Gibson street with blonde dreads and SPDs (I think) on Thursday.

Lovely as the old Brompton Lady Sovereigns are with their baskets full of fruit and whatnot, nothing finer than the sight of a few sisters out and about on the real deal!

I saw her a couple of times last week. I know she's trying to earn a living, so speed is of the essence, but the way she rides just makes it harder for everyone else. Cutting in front of cars, scaring the shit out of drivers by appearing out of nowhere, running reds by hopping onto the pavement... It all builds up the hate for folk on bikes.
