there is a truly maheesiv pothole down that road isn't there? I think I know where it is

that entire junction is one big pot hole. I think they might have improved a tire wide path on the outside lane though (coming from Battlefield)

They've laid some tarmac on a couple of the worst bits but it's not smooth by any stretch of the imagination. Hope Maxwell Park is the next location - big wide roads on the way which would make it easy for someone like me (fairweather commuter with a hybrid and delusions of grandeur). We could play guess the parks until the 27th...what about Queens/Maxwell/Ruchill (top of the flagpole finish)?

this sounds like fun, so its three points and at each point what will happen?
anyone got a clue as when the race could be finished? if its a 3.30 start.

We are aiming to assemble for registration at 1530 at point A (queen's park vicky road gates)
Registration will include the announcement of the checkpoint but not the finish.
Maps will be available
Race will start about 1545 from point A
at the checkpoint (B) there will be a man (George) with a pen who will sign your sheet and give you the location of the finish (maps available)
at the finish there will be another man (Me) who will write your finish time on your sheet and try and keep track of who finished first etc.
at the finish we will drink beerI have yet to do a trial run of the course but think it will take the fastest people about 25-30 mins
I will post my test time up when I try it out. -

In my experience the level of pain very much depends on how drunk you are when you do it. Unfortunately I was stone cold sober this morning; fortunately it wasn't a bike fall or anything that did it (though it was when I broke it in the first place).

Old equivalent of hipster. Used mainly as a generic light hearted insult.

Whatever the weather on Saturday, race is still on. If only a couple turn up or if it's a total blizzard then we shall fuck the race and go to the pub.
However, the weather report from BBC is looking ok:
Mainly dry and bright on Saturday. A little cloudier on Sunday and Monday with the odd light snow flurry possible.
