    only the fact that some marketing guy has picked up the brand and applied it to a bike that'll sit next to the loathesome BMW 'Mini' in the showroom for trendy young folks to buy as a rooftop accessory for the summer months.

    Almost - I understand there's a place for marketing but I'm sure the very first person to use the term fixie was in an office and not on a bike...

    There's a few copper plated bicycles around already although I'm pretty sure none of them are made with actual copper piping... That of course, may be for a reason!

    There was a pair (maybe a matched set) of Wilier copper plated bikes on ebay before Christmas.

    there is a wooden bike with copper lugs somewhere I saw a photo once. but it is a stupid idea as copper is far to soft.
