The Giro to start in.....Washington?!
How odd. I can see the point of a show stage close to home but surely this is something which in not only unnecessary but expensive.

All three Grand Tours are starting in Holland this year aren't they? I'm sure getting a GT to start in your town is a huge tourism boost and it is a sly move for Washington. No doubt the Giro organisers will be cashing a heavy giro out of it as well
