A friend and I are riding around Arran tomorrow if anyone would like to join us. Weather looks to be quite favourable, mild and gentle breeze with this nice High above us.

Catching the 0945 Ardrossan ferry, 56 miles around island and back to Brodick for the 1640 ferry. Going to be a brisk ride so probably geared only.

There are engineering works at Johnstone so driving down from Glasgow, leaving approx 8am.

    Cheers, Lee

Nice one. Plan is to get a good portion under our belts so we're not pushed for time for the 1640 ferry back.

It was lovely and quite relaxed. Did it geared and total travelling time on my speedo was almost bang on 4hr for me.

It was a nice wee ride. We were all on gears and I was told there was a massive climb at the end so I stopped off in Lamlash to devour 2 Mars bars. There was no such climb. I was in Brodick only a few minutes after leaving Lamlash.

Mega props to those who did it fixed last year. You're all mad.

Yeah I misread that Bikely route. It started just before the big climb and not in Brodick.

That ride was the gauge for my fitness level! Needless to say I have to get in shape for this summer. Was a good and nice to meet you guys. I actually had a tan line on my arm that night...

Fixed or SS would be a knee cruncher with the rolling hills on the southern end. Next time I think I'm going to do it clockwise and get the later ferry, and stop for lunch on the beach somewhere. Shame to go all that way and not really appreciate the scenery ;o)
