Getafix:Who broke the forum? The quote function has gone.
That wasn't all that was gone. Whole forum was broken. It's fixed now but I'm unsure what broke it.

Probably some non NJS coding..........or too many pictures of bikes with Velocity Deep V's with the stickers still on (pet hate.)
I'm pleased it's back though.

Bob Jackson Tricycle in Glasgow
Ohhhhh. I would buy it just for some hefty fun. Can you run tricycles fixed?
euan:Can you run tricycles fixed?
Don't see any reason why not, you'll go through a lot of tyres skidstopping though.
Nah, just lean to the left/right and skid stop on two wheels :)
Track stands would be pretty easy though.
56cm Dolan Pre-Cursa Bike
Fully built up with dura ace hubs and in in brand new nick by the looks of it.
Ends Monday (tonight) at 9:37 pm
Ghetto, but I like it somehow. Watching.
flying scots -
gotta be quick with this one -
That old bike is making me want a butchers bike with a wooden slat carrier on the front a sign below the top tube.
What is it with people selling bikes/frames and taking the pictures of them arranged on their sofas? Bikes shouldn't be on sofas, it's like putting a pair of shoes on a bed *rocks back and forth*

Went for £285.00 in the end. i think that's a very good bike for the money
Fuck. I was eyeing it up earlier today. If this was the end of the month I would have jumped on it.

it's a good bike. worth buying it now for when the 'drome gets built. i don't think it's possible to drill that fork (i have the same one on my track bike) so it'd need a bit of work for road use - new forks, brake and a slightly more forgiving gearing but it'd still be a bargain!

Bob Jackson tandem track frame. Anyone want to go halfs and cycle back :)
Looks like it would make a nice conversion to me, never done such a thing though so might not be looking right!
i will chip in for that tandem if anyone else wants to go for it
i am sooo tempted by that tandem. i'd love one but sadly, i've no one to share it with....boo hoo.....
52cm tasty condor out paisley way -
That is a great bike. I always wanted to get a Condor Pista but they're just too expensive.
I get my bonus on Tuesday.
euan:I get my bonus on Tuesday.
you gonna spend it on the condor?
Nah. I owe my parents a wee bit of cash for some repairs to my flat last year.
Haha. Yass.
i'm going to snipes that one
Ahem, found this lovely Colnago on eBay. I don't agree with shill bidding but I would say that if someone was to bid this up to about £150 they still wouldn't win it.

That looks like a nice frame. :-)

Aye, you'll not be getting that for £50 ;-)
The current highest bidder had his bid in less than 20 minutes after the auction started.
Hi, Just joined. I'm the owner of the hideous - seat, stem, bars combo, Surly discussed earlier in the thread. Nothing iffy about it though, its hardly been ridden. Its been up for sale a few times due to time wasters. Selling to buy a geared bike as i have arthritis in both knees.
Never thought I'd hear cyclists slaging a bike off for its asthetics, wrong colour of finishing kit perhaps? I thought cycling was about riding and a state of mind, not just about bling. Expected more from fixed gear fans. Just a thought. Surly is still on Gumtree Glasgow, Posting ref: 36781635. Cheers

There was one post asking if it was a good idea for purchase, a second saying it had been up before and to be cautious, a few more about the good quality parts and then one about someone not liking the stem and bars. I'd hardly call that a slagging.
Also, this is the eBay/Gumtree finds thread. This thread is almost entirely about bling.
