sorry we missed you, must have been by about a minute. think 9 turned up so assumed everyone was there and we left.
its just under the new motorway extension near pollokshaws road i think. about 150 yards long but was nice and smooth. also in partial darkness so the floodlight was on again.

I thought it be a good idea to visit some parks over the next few weeks in preparation for the alleycat. I've got some in mind.

We'll have to do pancakes then. Same place as last time? Maybe we'll see that sad man enquiring about the roast beef and gravy pancake again. Something tells me he hadn't quite come to terms with his recent, or perhaps not so recent, divorce.

(I edited the original post to include pancakes. This notice is here to avoid a time paradox)

josh you should be keeping your diet very similar to normal... and ramping up your training. Then giving the legs a brief spin the night before to keep them fresh.. then you'll be ready to explode.

Then on race day.. eat some good energy filled food! :)

How about this plan. Tomorrow we'll find a large hill and do some intervals and then load up those carbos with a couple of pints after.

But too many beers induces more side-to-side movement which saps away your forward energy.

NMK:Bit of a break from tradition, but Beijing Bicycle is being shown at the Vic tonight @ 6pm. It's free I think.

    Synopsis:
Beijing Bicycle revolves around a seventeen-year-old boy Guei (Cui) from the countryside who came to Beijing to seek work. He finds a job with a courier company, which assigns him a brand-new bicycle. After it is stolen one day, the stubborn Guei goes on a search for his missing bicycle. At the other end of the city, Jian (Li) is a schoolboy who buys Guei's stolen bicycle from a second-hand market. When Guei's search brings the two boys together, more than the ownership of the bicycle is brought into question. The film explores the theme of youth as well as several social issues, including class, youth delinquency, theft, and rural-urban socio-economic divisions and change.

    Running Time: 113 mins

It's a bit late notice and I don't really feel like spending 2 hours watching a chinese film about a guy who's lost his bike. I'd rather a short ride and a cold beer.

Yeah, perhaps an informal "must leave by 6:15" rule would be a good idea. We seem to spend more time standing outside the pub than actually cycling. I had a good time all the same.

Ok. I would find it frustrating to get there at 6 and wait til half past every time though. Perhaps a change of start time to 6:15 for a half six set off would be good? It seems that there are quite a few people who struggle to get there for 6, I'll be one of them in August I imagine. Or just keep it as meet at six and set off by quarter past?

Or just turn up later if you can't be arsed with the banter? It's not like it's a club ride or something the informality of it is the best bit.
