Out first round!! but it's the taking part.
The beers sound good.
Thanks for the route rabsda. I hadn't had a chance to really think about it, so I'll be taking the easy route, angling for a finishing place rather than any kind of glory. That's a real help.
My route is planned!
Remember, all those competing, to bring your £2 with you tonight (bring change if possible).
I think it's too late to get an NJS nut sack for increased speed.
so whats the plan tonite, are we still meeting in george square before cycling to the track?
Aye. 8pm at GS. The council offices end because there is a huge marquee over at the other end for am art fair.
next to the war memorial where the statures of the lions are in front of the city chambers
I might head down later but might not make it for 8. Where are the spints going to take place ?
bellahouston park Velodrome if it's dry,
glasgow green next to the boathouse if its wet

I love it. Schematics!
I've got my racing wheel on. 16 straight-pull radially laced spokes, deeper profile, lighter weight.
EDIT: It's a front wheel before I start hearing nonsense about using radial lacing on the back.
16 eh, I was thinking about making one of these, would be interesting to see...
I didn't build mine. It's a shimano RS10. Budget wheel but light compared to what came on the Fuji

A great start to the weekend......
Saw some of youse headin to Big Slope? after the sprints... Outside Gazelle having a smoke...
Congrats you all. Who's Tojo then? Was there a good turn out?
I'm really not sure if I'll be able to make it tonight, as I'm getting some serious grief from my knee following the accident (if it's not one thing it's the next - I dread to think what's going to start giving problems once the knee fixes up). I know the general HTFU rule, but seriously I'd rather be riding for the rest of my life than risking doing real damage by riding too much on an injury. I'll see how the day pans out.
Krakow - Get your knee seen to properly. I had an accident at work when I was eighteen and damaged my knees - tendons and ligaments. I HTFU'd and got on with it but it was only seven or so years later that I realised they weren't right and now I have all kinds of problems - regular dislocations, almost constant pain, cartiladge damage and a build up of scar tissue behind the kneecap. It's no fun. Get back to the Doctor!
I hope you're back in the saddle soon!
who took the action fotos? the finsih line and end of race ones? any chance of them getting popped up on here and the facebook page?
Krakow - the knee def get it seen to. i hurt the knee after my crash never thought anything of it as had a broken arm. two months later when i got back on the bike it hurt like fuck, needed and xray. luckily only had a bit of fluid under the knee cap which went away with exercise.
how good the waether this morning? hope is can be like this for sunday!!!
the sun has got his hat on
...hip hip hip hooray...

See you at clockwork orange.
Truly raging I missed this chaps, looks like a good evening was had by all though. Pulled my hammy at rugby thursday so no clockwork orange for me.
Rusty - how come you never made it to the hillclimb?
EDIT: you were never down for it anyway...
so who won the hillclimb?
and what prizes dished out?
Boy from Edinburgh won it, phunkeymonkey second, Getafix third.
I had way too much to drink last night and slept on the bathroom floor. If I come out tonight I don't know if I'll be competing.

They're a prize for tomorrow.
What way are you all coming through town tomorrow? Along the clydeside path? The reason being me and smout live in Finnieston, so we'll be getting our grub and meeting up around here and we can tag on as you come by.
If you are already clydeside by the time you reach Bell's Bridge we can be there, or if you're coming up through town and down Finieston Street to go through the shitey plastic tunnel we can be there. Or wherever else.
thoughts?
Clockwork Orange results...?
