I think. the times are about right. First and second place went anti clockwise, third went clockwise.
Hello to the courier types who read the forum :)
Unfortunately gedi and one other guy (what's his name?) were involved in an accident just minutes after setting off, descending the city centre hills. Hopefully no serious injuries as far as I know, but best wishes to them.
gedi has a tarmac burn on his forehead i think. car window and wing mirror gone .
hope all is good.
Just spoke to gedi briefly; he's back from hospital and sounding OK.
good news that gedi seems to of got away with what looked like a bit of road rash and a soar neck. fuckin gnarly start to a great nigh. I finished joint 6th. chuffed wi that.
now for the loch lomond ride.
oh, and look forward to seeing some of the fotos. specially the ones with all the bikes lined up against the fence.
iThe other guy was Peters brother I believe.
Hope Gedi is ok.
Great night .

ithinkitsnice:What way are you all coming through town tomorrow? Along the clydeside path? The reason being me and smout live in Finnieston, so we'll be getting our grub and meeting up around here and we can tag on as you come by.
If you are already clydeside by the time you reach Bell's Bridge we can be there, or if you're coming up through town and down Finieston Street to go through the shitey plastic tunnel we can be there. Or wherever else.
thoughts?
rabsda seems to be the brains of this. but the general idea is to follow the canal path or possibly out dumbarton rd. best just get us at george sq. we will not be going fast by any means.
catchy the morn.

sorry guys wont be there for the cycle to loch lomond tomorrow, too much uni work to do. enjoy.
good laughs today tho.

We will be going from george square heading down the riverside to the SECC then along the new road onto south street then joining the cyclepath at the kingsway flats at yoker/scotstoun. Can't give an exact time though, we'll probably set off about 1220ish.
[krakow: Edited to fix quotes - kick my ass if I misinterpreted]
i may catch you all at the bells bridge then. my legs are like jelly after the alleycat last night
Hope Gedi and Tom (I think his name was?)are okay, he seemed alright in the pub but his bike's fucked.
Alleycat was great fun, came in 4th with 61 minutes, but dropped my pen, got slightly lost looking for ibrox and had to fix a popped out inner tube after bridge street, so am pretty sure I coulda made up those 4 minutes but still well pleased.
I brought up the rear with the lantern rouge. a bit gutting but the race was so much fun Im not too bothered! being unable to find the symbol at Kelvin bridge and the fact i had to stop and tie my front light on with one of my shoe laces probably didnt help my time that much. Fantastic nite anyhow, Congrats to those who did better than me! and ill be giving my Pizza cutter a test run tonite i think...

Nice work. You can rest easy knowing that if I were there, I'd have been last. Was the pizza cutter our lantern rouge equivalent? Maybe we should start a Scottish 'Blue Lamp' tradition?
Are you all still off to Loch Lomond??? 12 at Georges square no? I'll bring my bike and you guys can help me solve this whole fixed/ trolling brakeless thing!!! See you all soon!!!

See yis in a bit. it's brightening up, too!
I've recovered from my 24 hour hangover and I'll be along to GS at 12:00pm
Somebody eat a burger and fall off while trying to track stand for me; I know for sure I'll be thinking of you guys & gals living it up.
A damn good night guys - cheers! I wont be along on Sunday but will hopefully catch up with some of you on the next race... in Edinburgh probably??? Glad to hear that gedi is alright too.
Enjoy Loch Lomond :)
Im sitting in the staffroom, looking out the window at the beautiful weather.... curses
So who got that 'creative route' prize or whatever...any gifts for smashing into a car at 25mph ?
The accident was totally the drivers fault ( old lady) and she admitted it but the cops said it was 50/50 so there won't be any charges although my eye-glasses and head are busted. We were riding in the right lane and had the green light to go ahead and the driver took a right turn right in front of us and stopped, she stopped because she realized the can't turn that way or something and was going to reverse and by then..me and Tom have already flown over the car .....Thanks to Krakow for taking my bike and if anyone else helped thanks also...but I can't remember my short term memory isn't working well. I wish I could've participated more this weekend but it's been a good turnout and I'm sure there will be more to come. Enjoy Loch Lomond.
Good to hear you are kicking about gedi. It was a gnarly looking smash and bang. She had no indicators on either I don't think..
Myself and two guys from Wheelcraft ( Sam and Ed I think) stopped and cleared some stuff off the road then a security woman and krakow took over.
Good to hear your ok gedi.
You should take it easy and we'll get a game of polo soon-once you get your scrapper fixed !!
You get ma vote for a prize , that's for sure!!!!! And i'm pretty sure you were going more than 25mph doon that crazy hill.. that deserves a prize on it's own !!
Forgot to ask, anyone else get punched on broomloan road going from ibrox station to govan?
Drunk took a swipe at my side when I was cycling past. He was in a rage cos the road was closed.
He hit the U-lock in my bag anyway so hopefully serves him right.
Yeah you get my vote too Gedi but I think the prize ended up going to the other dude for some reason. Good to hear you are alright!
BSB - hows that pizza cutter treating you?
Glad to hear you're ok, gedi – sounded nasty.
Nice to meet everyone today – t'was really good. And what a great day for it.

ditto, absolutely fecked now tho. any ambitions i had for goin out for a bevvy are hanging by a thread now that i am firmly planted on the sofa.
I had a bath, a thai curry, some wine, and now I'm watching crap telly in bed with tea :D
Give in to it!
i came home drank multiple electrolyte based energy drinks had a bath and am letting the sofa suck the aches out of me. cant wait to see the nick of my legs tomoro.
I came home and drank Ribena and had some Easter egg... It doesn't work for everyone but it's hitting the spot with me...
Yeah I think my Optimo plans are pretty much done for.
Nice to meet everyone, some day for it in the end as well. Absolutely beaten after that tank home.
Great to meet everyone but I don't think I properly introduced myself to a lot of people so not many names to faces, mong that I am (I was on the plug with the drops anyway).
I'm for doing that regularly during the finer months coming up — preferrably if the trains are running and we can get a proper drink in.
Smout:I came home and drank Red Stripe and had some fags... It doesn't work for everyone but it's hitting the spot with me...
fixed

I'm definitely up for it but I've got so much on between my dayjob and freelance work in the evening I'll have to play it by ear. If I can I will.
