  • this might be old news but I've just found it

A lot of the designs are wack, but they're user submitted. $100-$200 for a custom sterling silver headbadge... poss poss for that special bike...

  • or is that just silly

  • plurabelleplurabelle June 2009

    I vote silly :D

  • yeah think so

  • are they NJS?

Special bikes - the real sort of top-quality, highly-desirable frames that everyone wants - normally have headbadges on them already, no?

  • I do like the Freshtripe bear one tho! I thought about getting a custom badge made for my bike for a while but decided i could never justify spending the cash. very bling tho

I think they are the berries.

  • Is there anywhere that will emboss or print on a plain bit of stainless steel (or whatever they're normally made from) to spec?

If that's the only way a bike can be special to you.

Maybe somewhere that does CNC related works? Not sure exactly how it works, Getafix knows someone.

  • Civil Nuclear Constabulary?

  • Most Tech college will have a cnc machine...and will do anything for the price.

Just ring the engineering department and talk to the technician at worst he'll say no or point you to the right person to talk to.

Nah, it's not. My favourite bike's nameless and badgeless. Goodness only knows who made the frame, yet it's still the one I reach for first. But that's the thing, though - I like the bike the way it is. A "squirrel with chainring" badge is surplus to requirements. :-) And I guess that's true if your bike's a Holdsworth or a Scot with a headbadge of its own. You're hardly going to replace it. I guess I'm struggling to see who the potential customers are.

Didn't realise you were being sectarian, thought you just meant coz it's shiny!

Unless he's a big fan of the File Transfer Protocol.

  • GetafixGetafix June 2009

I am a fan of File Transfer Protocol and First Time Quality.
